Jeeeshh, I wandered back in to view the IPhone/IPad fanatics thread, and I see everyone is still stirred up...
I am not anti-AAPL, (I have a few hundred shares and wish I had a few thou), and I am not anti-Apple products, or even disdainful of the KoolAid brigade...  As for golf clubs, 'tech is fine/good' but I am still banging older tech clubs, esp irons and wedges. I try other people's stuff, but other than slight forgiveness on some shots, a good, repeatable swing is my winter/FL Shack goal. Now, back to the thinness and screen size discussion.

Still not an Apple fan as such. I'm currently replacing the hard drive in my son's MacBook Pro but everything else, apart from iPhones and iPads, is running Windows 8...
Am going from two iPhones (4 and 4S) to four iPhones (4, two 4S's, 5) in next month. These iPhone 5's are going to sell like crazy... In a way, I wish I wasn't getting a (small) corporate discount from AT&T so I could switch to Verizon.

I don't think battery life is a factor at all. I've spent so much on battery packs (my most recent purchase in that line was a $70 battery that works for iPhone and iPad) but I never use them! I am always near an electrical outlet or a laptop/PC to charge these devices.
