Well, I'm 100% Chevy now....

After much trial and tribulation, confusion, waiting, dealing with morons, negotiating and renegotiating, waiting for incentive plans and basically just driving myself crazy, I am now the proud owner of a 2006 Trailblazer LT.

I know it's not an X, I know that the X is superior, I'm sad to no longer own my X5, but this was a financial and quality of life issue and the right thing to do for me right now. I'll be back in a BMW someday, but for now, my stable will be comprised of a 2004 Z16 Vette and a 2006 Trailblazer LT. I got a great deal on it, considering Chevy ended all of their incentive programs, and I should save about $350/month compared to my X, and I won't have to worry about my headlights being stolen everywhere I park it .

Hope you will stick around. Which engine did you get? Good luck with your GM

We all gotta do what's good for us, Ron. Enjoy the cupholders in that thing! I used to host a local car show on TV and I got to demo the '03 Trailblazer for a week. MAD cupholders!

Hope you opted for the 5.3L V8 at least...

I must admit that in my opinion, out of the GMC/Chevy/Olds siblings, the Trailblazer is the best looking one, so good choice on that one!

I got the inline 6, 291 HP. The V8 gets shit mileage, and it's only a few HP more for a $2k upgrade, it wasn't worth it for a grocery getter/station car.
The Chevy I6 is rock solid, it's not an issue. I have a 405HP V8 in the garage surrounded by a Corvette Z06 body for when I feel the need for some ponies

I loaded it up with all of the LT options except a sunroof and nav, I RARELY open the roof on the last 4 cars that had 1, and i have a Garmin GPS/NAV 2610, so there was no reason to get that either.

Thanks for the well wishes and congrats, I already miss my X... but the TB will be fine.

Aint no shame in being financially responsible. Enjoy the TB!
