Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction on your college campuses although as you mentioned, way off from being perfect. What nowadays with all the "safe spaces" and microaggressions - Sigh.

ALL college women should be proficient in firearms and carry for self protection. Way too many female victims out there nowadays. Heard a dumb progressive liberal idiot broad tell me one time when I suggested the same thing - "Yeah sure if someone was trying to rape me at gunpoint and I reached into my purse to get my gun if I had one they'd shoot me in the head and I can't defend myself if I'm dead" - Sigh #2.

I'm with TiAg, if I lived in a state that allowed open/concealed carry I would be frequenting the businesses who do not advertise their sitting duck status to would be criminals.

I hunted a bit (quite a bit) in college, so I had long guns. Back then, a hand gun wouldn't have been on my mind.

My daughter had several of her sorority sisters get handguns over Christmas break, and a few also got Weapons Carry Licenses.

She is are up with getting her license. She graduates in May, and will be traveling a lot, and wants to become proficient with a firearm by then, so that she can get herself one with her first "real" post-graduation paycheck.

I have told I wouldn't get one before that, because she lives on campus, so it's illegal for her to have it right now. Looks like that will change in July, but she'll be out by then.
