Unfortunately, the last 4 years has shown me that the US Govt is incompetent or broken. Both sides. And that the voting populace is very easily manipulated.

Biden's son is a criminal (possibly POTUS) on many levels. Truly sick man. See if POTUS sticks to his no pardon statement.

Trump is also a criminal but in the more traditional (albeit more IQ challenged) way, excepting sedition with the election and Jan 6th. Business dealings, abuse of legal system (before, during, and after POTUS stint), and now Federal charges stemming from pure hubris and idiocy.

This country is doomed. Spending out of control on both sides, overturning of long standing freedoms in the SCOTUS, passing of asinine laws that do nothing to solve the actual problems of the country, monopolies/duopolies/oligopolies are running rampant, and the list could go on and on.

If the rest of the world weren't in the exact same situation... I'd say we were a laughing stock. But developed societies the world round are circling the drain as everyone wants a handout and personal responsibility is considered an antiquated ideal. All the while, still pretending we have the moral high ground when dealing with the rest of the world.

I think you're missing the point completely. I don't care for either president and I really wish a better candidate can step forward in 2024 (no neither biden nor trump fits the billing).

We can have corrupt and inept leaders, but we cannot have a leader who challenges the very system the government is built on. The day the public loses confidence in the results of our votes is the day we stop having duly elected officials and start living under dictatorship.

Hopefully. He's going to jail for that, among other things. Though I won't hold my breath. If the Democrats run Biden (fingers crossed someone challenges him in the primary)... I'm voting Trump just to help speed the decay. I don't like being a boiling frog.



Honestly, the only good thing about all the infighting in Congress is that giant flashlights are now being shined on all politician's shady dealings as each party investigates each other. "Sunlight is the best disinfectant."


Unfortunately. Since Citizens United... we are basically living in a Banana Republic already. Just with a veil of democracy. And ever thinning veil of freedom. Can't even buy land outside of town anymore because it's being bought up by real estate conglomerates or foreign entities. I'm going to be trapped in an urban hellscape with all its regulations and all these self-absorbed ppl around me. And as the wealth gap grows... the quality of those ppl (of all income levels) is steadily declining.

All good things come to an end. Governing systems designed by the people will ultimately be destroyed by the decendents of the people.

That's just human nature. Chaos ensues, followed by another consolidation of power. And so on and so forth. Cycle Rinse and Repeat.

I only hope we prolong it as long as possible before the end eventually comes.

Or just hope for the best and finger crossed, maybe, just maybe, we continue on despite all evidence to the contrary.
