That shirt isn't even real. Also, I find it funny that even NASCAR actually has programs trying to find new minority drivers. I sure haven't seen many programs for the advancement of white people in predominately minority associations/fields. Whare are all the programs for the aspiring white rappers or NBA players? What gives? Doesn't seem fair to me.

So how is this any different than NASCAR where many white families mortgage the ranch in order to race cars? Sounds like it is a product of each environment. Stereotypically speaking then, black kids in grow up playing basketball because they can't afford golf clubs and country club fees and white country kids grow up racing cars, gocarts, dirtbikes, wrenching on old cars etc. Yet, there are many programs for the advancement of minorities, yet not that many for whites. Like I said, seems unfair.

If there aren't as many white players in basketball, then maybe we need to have a "special" program implemented that aims to get white player percentages up over the next few years. Also, maybe teams should have to invite a white player to try out for the team before thay can draft/sign monority player. Seems fair to me.

Couldn't agree more. There are times when the race card is warranted, but it has been thrown around like an ATM card in a strip club for far too long. Sort of like the boy who cried wolf...that card is going to be declined before too long.

If one wants to play basketball all one has to do is get out
there and go for it. If you do you better come with it otherwise
athletically your going to get run over like a freight train.

Just look at the NBA finals. Those white looking players are
not from America but they are playing. Why? Because they have
honed their skills in their country of birth and can hang with the
the other players.

There are no NBA teams interested in substandard effort even
on the rookie level. You have to work hard and demonstrate
your desire to compete. When you do nobody's gonna stand in
your way. In fact the other players will welcome and respect you.

We would all like this issue to die but the reality is as long as we have
imperfect people in the world this issue will always rear it's ugly head.
That's why you're correct when you say "There are times when the race card is warranted" It's a sad truth but it's the truth non the less......

This is exactly my point. There aren't enough monorities in NASCAR, so NASCAR actually does something to try to raise those percentages. On the other hand, there are not enough white mailes in NBA, well that is just because a lot of black kids gorw up playing basketball because they can't afford other sports. Too bad so sad white people. Doesn't seem fair to me.
