You guys must enjoy misery. I stopped watching the national news after the election. Been much more "zen" throughout the day. I certainly don't read anything that's going on. He's going to go out kicking and screaming, which was a high probability known 2 years ago. I don't need to trouble myself with the sh*t show.

Things will be going back to "normal" in January. Greasy politics done by out of touch morons who couldn't care less about the majority of the populace. At least as long as Citizens United and lobbying are still things. The only difference is, no one will tweet about it, and the news cycle will slow down... so we won't have to hear about it.

The nail in the coffin will be the electoral college votes in December. Until then... I couldn't care less. America was here before Trump, it will be here after him. At least for another century or so.

Really like the X5M. I added a tune which was a good decision. It's my wife's so she doesn't want me to do anything else to it. She loves it. At purchase it had about 63,000 miles. It is now at about 90,000. My wife drives the wheels off of it. I have replaced a CCV hose that was cracked, replaced rotors and pads, and flushed the brake fluid. That's it. I see it as a great purchase. Looking at buying a new or 1-2 year old for me.

Sounds like you are covering the basis to make as informed a decision as possible. I am a stickler for a PPI. Check out Carfax if you haven't already and the more maintenance records the better. I search for vehicles that were serviced at the dealer and have all the receipts. Ours was a one owner traded back to the dealer that sold it., one or two owners is best. Be prepared to walk away if it doesn't pass your purchase criteria. Take the emotion out. Don't be in a hurry, don't have a deadline. I looked for almost a year. I am always willing to compromise on color, interior and features to find one that passes the purchase criteria in flying colors. Depending on the extent you want to DIY, purchasing a warranty can be a worthwhile safeguard. I don't buy by price. I am willing to pay more for vehicles that are less risk.

Good luck!. The ride and handling is very different than an E53. At first it seems numb in comparison. But while it is very different after driving it some it is different in a good way.

Whistle

Thanks BC! I couldn’t find much service history on it except it has visited the same dealership 4 times between 2011 to 2016 @ ParkShore BMW in Vancouver. I assume it’s at least had factory service while in warranty.

PPI on Monday should give me more detailed condition on the truck. I’ve been looking for a long time as well. I’ll probably store the E53 and just insure and drive the new to me truck so the wife doesn’t complain too much about the costs.

2015 - 2018 model is probably the best X5M they’ll ever make IMHO. I love the bang olufsen sound option and the carbon fiber interior trim pieces. The engine is simply a beast with no equal.

But it also cost a pretty penny too. Hopefully a cheaper low mileage sample will show up in 5 years.

You are right in your viewpoint Crystal. I think where there’s men there’s temptation to tear down even the best governing system just so one can continue to remain in power, even illegally.

One of the things I love the most about this country is our ability to freely express opinions without worrying about personal prosecution.

The Chinese doesn’t have this luxury, nor does a number of other states in this world.

But unlimited freedom without check and balances can also create havoc and disaster.

I think we could have handled this pandemic much better if we have a nationally coordinated effort to fight this virus.

But, it is what it is.

Oh yes he will. Trumps an old man. In four years (if his diet doesn’t get him) perhaps the grim reaper will call and that will end it all.

One thing to consider is that there was a facelift in 2015 which means they should look like current styling longer than years prior. All are fast but new models have increased HP/TQ. Tune I added bumped HP by 64 and torque up 78 so you can get to current HP/TQ specs with E70 models.

What was your tune? That's outstanding output considering the factory X5M already puts out 555 horsepower.

I've never driven anything with so much power. My dad has a 2006 S65 that puts out 600HP from a v12. But the power delivery is smooth and understated because the car is so heavy and quiet. The only thing that gave it away was the v12 growl from the exhaust.

The v8 twin turbo from a 2014 550i has 445HP, which is 100 less than the E70 X5M. I love the power on that 5 series.

This gives me a good gauge on the E70's capabilities.

I'm salivating just thinking about what a 600HP E70 can do.

That looks easy enough to do!

Thanks BC!

What's the mpg like after the tune?

"we haven't heard from the president in over 2 weeks...the president hasn't attended a task force meeting in over 5 months...even though they had one held, just last week..we're told by sources... he's much more consumed by the state of this election and contesting the results than he is with the pandemic that is surging across the country."

Quotes from CNN white house correspondent as of 11/18.

Almost everyone of his tweets lately has been slapped with a warning label citing "disputed claims" or "multiple sources called this election differently".

Friday's death tally is 1600. Up from 1,000 a few weeks ago.

Third cause of death this year now.

And he's clearly more worried about staying in power illegally than helping the American public in this time of need.
