I don't think I'm actively seeking to have certain member's posts blocked or censored by all, but I believe in each of our rights to not view another member's posts. I think this option is designed for that exact purpose.

In an iphone group chat you are able to block a certain member of the chat group's message if you so choose.

I'm simply exercising that option here. But I fully support anyone's right here to express their opinion about anything, while retaining my right to NOT respond to useless banters if I so choose.

Sorry, I misunderstood your meaning

I did leave a qualifier for my intention a couple of posts back. I said I would consider responding to a certain member here if he starts to post about political subjects that I am interested in.

And since i'm not blocking everyone here, only a select few, I doubt I'll miss much of the debate.

And no worries. I find your posts level headed and fact driven, with much considerations behind the rationale.

I only wish I'm that level headed sometimes. I sometimes tend to get involved with non-constructive banters and stray from the topic.

I enjoy political debates. Especially those that are centered on whether Trump has been good or bad for the nation. IMO he has done nothing to expand the middle class or improve the lives of those in poverty. He is a threat to our democracy. I don't think there is any question he has been bad for the nation and I believe his legacy will be that he has been the worst of all presidents.

It would be nice if everyone else got this memo.

BTW, I have no desire to meet you face-to-face, based on what I have read that you have written in this thread.... You also appear to be just another angry and lonely keyboard warrior with an axe to grind, lashing out with anyone who disagrees with your opinion. Ever consider just saying to someone that: "we should just agree to disagree...."? Sometimes, that may be the best way to leave it since you are not going to change their mind.

You know it’s amazing how naïve some individuals are in this world.

The fact that one or two, or a few here on the forum could think, that my disposition on a political forum reflects who I am in person is absurd.

The fact is though, that my disposition here on the political forum may be completely opposite of who I am in reality. Furthermore, I only bring this disposition to this form because of the nature of conversation.

This is politics! Like I told another member, “if you can’t handle it, take a break”!

At the end of the day, it’s seems some on the forum cannot handle my “internet personality”. When I hear “meaningful discussions” on the political forum here I get a chuckle. If you want to make a difference in our society, get your ass off the computer, get out in the community and make a difference. Otherwise, all we are here is a bunch of gear heads sitting behind a screen, passing our opinions back and fourth.

The truth hurts, but it is what it is!
