Come on brother man. If you honestly need me to provide evidence of the lies
that are being told, and you can't admit it when you know it, then that tells
me you cannot honestly discuss the topic.

I find it interesting that of all the people who have read this bill and have
differing opinions about it your the only one who knows the facts and can't
be wrong.

Perhaps you need to "billy madison" yourself.....:stickpoke

They are the same kind of people who believe professional wrestling is real and that dinosaurs never existed. This is a mob rule mentality brought on by the Tabloid News companies that lie so the Republicans don't get caught doing it themselves. The really sad thing is that none of them know what's in the Health Care Reform Bill, they just know that Glen Beck is their leader and he said it's a bad thing without explaining it..............

Nice cop out, but expected.

Here are the parts of the bill that I know are facts, and links to back them up:

$500,000,000 cut from Medicare

It's the law of the land: Health overhaul signed - Yahoo! News

Social Security fund raided to fund the bill.

It's the law of the land: Health overhaul signed - Yahoo! News

17500 new IRS agents are provided in this bill but not 1 new doctor or nurse

CNSNews.com - IRS to Enforce Health Reform

10 years of new taxes to provide only 6 years of services

Op-Ed Contributor - The Real Arithmetic of Health Care Reform - NYTimes.com

Florida senior citizens keep their existing medicare/medicaid coverage but residents of the other 49 states do not.

Health Reform Bill Passage Hailed by Senior Citizen Advocates for Its Benefits for Seniors

Abortion coverage is a huge issue.

Self explanatory.

Investment income taxed.
President Obama signs health care reform bill, hidden tax details in the bill

So there you have it Barry. Facts. With backup.

But you know, you're right, there's no point in continuing discussing this with you. You deal in vague emotional statements and not facts especially when presented with facts that contradict you or that you don't agree with or when you are simply asked to back up your statements, if you can't or choose not to as you have done here, then it's not worth continuing.

I'll await your apology ;)

Quicksilver 03-23-2010 11:32 PM

I'll await your apology ??? Don't flatter yourself....

Vague emotional statements and not facts??? Ok again

Nothing vague or emotional about recognizing that facts
as they are presented more than always have more than
one answer. Your answer and the answer from people
who disagree with you and the answers no one has figured
out yet.

What I find interesting is that people, (you included) will
highlight a point you believe is a fact but then don't bother
to provide additional clarifying evidence that may support
other supporting facts regarding the same point.

Foe Example you pointed out that $500,000,000 cut from Medicare but the article you provided does not mention the $500,000,000 figure. What the article does says is " For seniors, the plan will gradually close the "doughnut hole" prescription coverage gap and improve preventive care. But it also will cut funding for popular private insurance plans offered through Medicare Advantage. About one-quarter of seniors have signed up for such plans, which generally offer lower out-of-pocket costs.

If this is what your referring to then at least understand that that statement is incomplete because Obama said seniors will have the same coverage under Medicare that they have under Medicare advantage. Clearly all the details regarding just this one issue is still not clear among those who report it and those who read it.

This example is how one can state what they consider a fact only to find that there are more details to be considered and some of those details have not been finalized.

So my suggestion is instead of stating what a news report states as fact, or what the Bill states as fact, provide more than one side of the information that supports or clarifies the statement from more than one reference not just what you believe will support your point of view.

Doing so provides a balance for discussion rather than trying to foster an endless emotional dogmatic debate base on presumed facts that at this point cannot be substantiated even by any of us and in the end solves nothing.

Blah blah blah barry. You don't get to call me out for not presenting facts when you don't even consider backing up your jibberish with anything but emotional nonsense and passive aggressive crud.

This is from the NY Times, the left wing liberal bible that you and your cohorts love, so maybe if you read it in there you'll believe it:

Removing the unrealistic annual Medicare savings ($463 billion) and the stolen annual revenues from Social Security and long-term care insurance ($123 billion), and adding in the annual spending that so far is not accounted for ($114 billion) quickly generates additional deficits of $562 billion in the first 10 years. And the nation would be on the hook for two more entitlement programs rapidly expanding as far as the eye can see.

The bottom line is that Congress would spend a lot more; steal funds from education, Social Security and long-term care to cover the gap; and promise that future Congresses will make up for it by taxing more and spending less.

Well Thunder22, I guess nobody came up with the links to counter your post...

Quicksilver 03-29-2010 02:16 AM

Hmmm just getting back and noticed your profound balanced response.
Sounding a little emotional there thunder...

But that's ok. I don’t however believe calling someone’s opinion BS, jibberish emotional nonsense, and passive aggressive crud deserves any additional answer.

I believe I spoke my piece on the issue and I will therefore let it stand. Let me end by saying that from the response I got I must have struck an emotional nerve because the word (jibberish in your post) was misspelled and that’s a major blunder coming from someone who’s always correcting the spelling of others. OBTW the correct spelling I believe should have been "gibberish".

Have a great day.......

He might as well direct his argument into a mirror much like the pot calling the kettle black. The Koolaid runneth over in mind of this lost child.

I am uneasy about this insane spending spree that has been going on for...hell 10 years. I would not align myself with either party, as I feel they both fail miserably in the execution of their own ideals. I do feel what chile is saying about certain uneducated morons though. Its one thing to stay out of the argument of politics because your ill informed, and another to pretend your a republican because you enjoy the bat shit movie like scenarios that glen and rush play out on your little black box. Additionally, anyone who doesn't think that fox news and conservative radio is in the business of telling blatant absurdities, merely for ratings and as a function of so called republican conservative politics....(which in my opinion has become a party actively recruiting religious lunatics and paranoid simple minded folks with no grasp of the economy or politics)....is either naive or one of those simple minded fellas mentioned above!
Sorry for ranting this off topic style bullshit. If it makes you feel any better it gave me something during halftime! Please don't reply that I am crazy..citing more articles than my last research project:dh:
