Any idea what this cable is near the dipstick

Hi,

I just noticed a cable or a small pipe which goes nowhere, it is kinda attached to the dipstick, any idea what it is? does it need to be connected somewhere.

well my car was off to the dealor today anyways...

well, a/c got finally fixed a week back, the weather complied it seems as they were able to check and seems was one of the hose that leaked, work great now. nice to get the car back.
