Mine didn't do that either. I think I might of added about 1/2 a qt before I did the first change at 7500 miles. After that, I've never had to add oil between changes.

I believe the system measures the rpm of each tire through the abs system. Once a tire starts turning at a different speed (faster) the alarm is sent.

I'm using the internal rack that mounts on the floor rails. Got it off eBay. It was short a couple of bits but I fabricated a few here in the shop and it works great.
