I have an 07 X5 4.8 and it bugs me that there is no temp. gauge but it has a MPG gauge that is a waste of prime dash space. I was wondering if the 08 has a temp. gauge.

I don't believe the Premium Sound option on the X5 E70 is a Logic 7 system.
I think it's a few additional speakers in the rear and their associated wattage.

Probably just marketing BS but I would rather use the factory fill.

Totally normal, I added a quart at 7,000 miles. A quart every 7,000 miles is actually low oil consumption. I dropped by the dealer and 10 munutes later I was on my way.

The more important temp. is the oil which takes allot longer to get to operating temp. than coolant.
