Had my X5 in Dubai before I moved to Europe and you have to have the traction off to go out on the sand. Much better to drive with the wheels spinning and keep the momentum up over the sand.

The car looks great as it is. In an earlier post somebody mentioned painting the bumper white. I saw one in Bur Dubai today and the contrast with the black looks so much better.

In dubai you'd need to block the hard shoulders as well and then the grass and sand to the side of that. They'll overtake you anywhere they can. Traffic jams on the 3 lane highways become 6-7 lanes...
