Another AUX user here. Works great and is super cheap. It'd be nice to have steering wheel controls, but changing songs while driving makes driving that much more fun!

I just routed mine through the center console and into the center compartment. It was a little difficult to get it past the e-brake, but no problems after that. No drilling required. :)

Quiet Aux Input - how do I fix it?

I installed the Aux input in my 2006 X5 last night and it works like a charm other than the volume must be turned up much higher for the aux than for the CD or stereo. Anyone know how a fix to this?...
