No doubt a bit of a crapshoot, but I guess you could say that for any machine... some fail at 10k, some 500k. I guess what I was looking for were any known issues with...

I am looking to purchase an '01 3.0 with 106k miles on it. I know the history of the vehicle as it belongs to a friend. He had a complete inspection done at the BMW dealership and all that came up...

How to remove universal transmitter??

As it sits, the car will sit around 600mA...

I did pull the FSR and the shift light remained on after over an hour. However, according to my dealer, early model X5s like mine (2001) the light does not go out. Is this correct?

It looks as if the car is NOT going into sleep...

It looks as if the car is NOT going into sleep mode... the shift light stays on. If I pull the FSR and alarm the car, if the FSR is the problem, will the car go into sleep mode?

I have a 2001 X5 with a BMW cargo cover that came OEM in the back. I have to ship some rather large items which means I have to remove it, but I can't figure out how.
