The ULF modules have always been a pain to pair vs. the TCUs. You it's a dance you do with the ignition and pairing button. You are probably better off getting a cheap TCU as they enter pairing mode...

Since you have an '05 (LCI) If the brake light burns out, it will light the other tail light bulb at brighter capacity when you brake. (AFAIK) I did the rear fog mod, and I find it extremely useful...

You need a 2003 or newer to have AUX IN. To remedy change your radio unit at the trunk to a 2003+ type and you can add the cable for AUX-IN.

No, no hard start issues on the 4.8iS. It has the "comfort start" feature, so I just flick the keep and it cranks over. Once in a while it's slightly "extended" but by no means a hard start.

The tester I bought sucked. It essentially leaked gas out at the gauge. Everything was tight. It's going back to the store tomorrow. I ordered the one you recommended and it'll be here tomorrow.
