I've coded a lot of different options into mine. The MHUD deal is the most invasive one. Nothing else drastically changes iDrive options like that one does. Rest easy.

Mine had this badly when I bought it (used). I had to use an oven cleaner to get it all off, and now I keep it clean when I wash.
