Thanks guys. Looks like the transmission and valley pans are still a weak point in these beasts. So strange that these continue to plague the X5 going into the next generation X.

Sorry to hear about issue with such a shady dealership. As another suggestion to get their attention, go get a large banner printed and park it outside their dealership/service dept and hand out...

His shop is kinda pricey these days; almost the same as the dealerships! But he is the most reputable BMW shop around this area and they do good...
