Yes, the base looks exactly the same. Only missing the top part with the actual coolant passages. That's why it's so weird that it fits but there is no purpose for some parts of it.

Unfortunately that connector on the radiator doesn't seem to be the typical made for quick connector hose. Those blind plugs to replace quick connector hose are readily available on all typical sizes.
