68HP less is no issue for me.
I've spent the price difference on options!
Most of the time I drive long distance.

Never said the pads were mounted backwards (although this is possible).
Said: "they made a noise as if the pads were mounted with the metal part facing the disc".

Parking brake ineffective

Replaced all brake discs and pads yesterday, all from ATE.
The discs were coated with greyish stuff.
First time I used the brakes they made a noise as if the pads were mounted with the metal part...

DIS/GT1 does not work if you have a Mac with VMware Fusion.
It uses a virtual machine in Windows.

Not sure, but could it be that your auxilary heater is only activated when it's below a certain temperature and the engine is running?
Otherwise it would take quite a while to get a nice temperature...
