Another thought I had is the main engine ground. The original one corroded on me a few years back and gave me similar issues....

Orion Diesel has an EGR delete kit that also deletes the ASV. Talking with multiple tuners and they can disable the ASV function at the same time.

Why I ultimately decided to keep the ASV in place...

So I spent the evening reading about the ASV and its function. When the ignition is turned off the ecu sends vacuum to close the flap so the engine shuts off smoothly without shutter. Hence the name....
