Literally just had the same issue, only in my case, I was the muppet and while it WAS slotted through the correct hole, there must have somehow been too much slack in it when i put it back together...

So heres one ive not encountered before. I just went to close the rear right door on my E53, and it wouldnt latch and would just pop back ajar as if something was blocking it....I checked all around...

Does anyone know what year and model bmw introduced its now infamous "bmw gong/chime"?

To the best of my memory its a sound that was never present in my 2006 e53 and im sure it wasnt introduced...

For some reason I thought the sunroof was on the same fuse as the door locks. Feel a bit silly for not actually having a look first.
