Yes, sorry I should have mentioned. Rear cargo space was absolutely fine, bigger than a Cayenne and just as large and practical as the ML63 I used to have. Provided you're not comparing the maximum...

I hear what you're saying LeMans, but the senior BMW engineers I spoke with seemed certain that DPC would not feature on the X5 for several years to come. In their words "BMW have no plans to offer...

From the front it's not wow, since it looks almost identical to the X5 (I was told that the bonnet is the identical part number as in the X5), but from the rear and sides it really catches your...

Style 259s are the 5-spoke ones in the launch brochure. I stood looking at them both today and ultimately its a matter of personal preference, but with the 214s initially the X6 looked like part-X5...

Remember BMW are only planning to gain between 25% and 30% of the volume of X5 sales, so they have no intention of selling anywhere near as many cars as they would if it was an X5.

I will see for myself when I sit in one in a few weeks time, but at just over 1.5" less headroom than the X5 I'm not worried about space in the X6 - it strikes me as being on a par with the 5-series...

The risk is too high to order a 35i without driving one, so I suspect most of the initial orders will be for the 35d. I drove hundreds of miles comparing the 35i and 35d engines in the 3-series, and...

I managed between 23 and 24 mpg in the X5 3.0sd (i.e. 35d) that I drove recently. There isn't a 35i engined X5, but I used to average between 18 and 19 mpg in my old X5 3.0i.
