Each 'brand' may spec slightly differing parameters, but batt mfg/'science' isn't exactly new or exotice when it...

Our '01 3.0 got the notice and we had it R&R'd back in early 2002.

I would check to see if the recall/R&R had been done on yours, though...

We have our orig '01 5 Speed..never a problem with the trans/clutch in ~ 17 yrs/ ~ 115k miles.

But, if one has a choice between the 5 or 6 spd, the 6 spd would be my pref, just for the reduced...

I had the 'then version' of 'extended maintenance', and the dlr R&R'd that original.

Now, I have 113,000 miles, and that replacement...

But, for getting down the road, after a flat in the middle of nowhere, to a tire joint for permanent plug and patch, it has worked well...
