Can't help you much on price either, but I think 2006 was a good year. A nice, sporty feel from the engine and most of the car and drivetrain is based on the E46 3er so that makes it slightly easier...

I don't know how flexible BMW NA is with this, but technically the normal Sport Steering wheel can be ordered with Lane Departure Warning and Paddle shifters (not the M sport wheel though).

My pop's X5 came with them and they're useless. They're not wide enough to serve a real purpose, yet wide enough so that getting in/out means one's pant legs will get wet and/or dirty.

I think the 2008 X3 has the AUX input on the back side of the centre armrest, near where the rear cigarette lighter is. Should be standard.

The X3 does not have Bluetooth audio streaming...
