Apparently BMW update there models every 7 or so years; my dealer was surprised that there was 2011 LCI model (mini?) upgrade as it's mid cycle.

My guess is that BMW has lost too much SUV market...

(The typical X5 brochure gives power curves for 30d, 30i and 48i but not the twin turbo 35d).
