I would try calling other dealers. Those options seem to be the standard ones BMW is sending to the dealers. The colors vary though. So far I've heard silverstone or black and none have the full leather and ventilated seats. That's a deal breaker for me.
I called my dealer recently and they had no waiting list at all. I'm supposedly getting the second allocation (or 1st that I can actually choose options on). So, I'm hoping to get a nice discount on mine as well. |

if it doesnt just wait and get exactly what you do want. why rush, spend all that money and not be happy with something ... what on earth is " Launch supply " ? i didnt see that with mine... is that the "launch control system" ? but thats a standard "option" ? |
random site-
"BMW says that by adding an optional M driver’s package, the speed delimiter is raised to 171 mph." did anyone who put in an order for the M see this option ? ( M driver’s package ) why would you not want this option and where the hell was\is it ? |

Launch supply just means it's a car that the dealers get when the car first comes out. It's a car that is given to the dealers when the manufacturer "launches" the new model. |

1st "real" road test of an X ///M vehicle:
2010 BMW X6 M - Road Test - Auto Reviews - Car and Driver At an official drag strip, it looks like they achieved a 13.0 @ 106 in the quarter mile without launch control (test car didn’t have it). My original guess of 12.7 seems pretty reasonable on a cool day with a good launch. The mph seems on the low side, however, given they ran it with the engine hot, I’m betting it could do 108-110mph. Additionally, I just read that they did some tests the night before at the Chrysler proving grounds and was able to hit 12.8@110 (without launch control). For reference, this quarter mile time is on par with the Jeep SRT8, ML63 and Cayenne Turbo S, with the X ///M barely edging them out either off the line (with launch control) or in top gear. Consider the X ///M the fastest SUV by the slimmest of margins. $2500 MSRP (But it's cross country..) And a second offer, (a lot closer.. But still a 1000 mile drive.) $1000 off MSRP for a car to be built in Oct. I might fight to get this build if the dealer will go down more... But I'm still fighting to get closer to $500 over invoice.. I don't think I'll hit that number, but I think I can do better than $2500 off. Remember gang... We set the prices on the X5M based on what we are willing to pay. The dealers can ask whatever they want and some won't sell... But a lot of dealers are desperate to move inventory.. Even new ///M models.. There are some dealers that are still sitting on 08 ///M5's and the 2010 models are out. |
thanks for those last 2 posts , thats good to know.....

The data on the track sheet is just incredible...and to think it wasn't equipped with LC! It's only a matter of time till premium competitors up the ante...Gotta love competition :driver:
