Xenon's are 10 years old time to change em

I bought maxlux brand and very happy. I picked 5k for pure white but it's a trade off. Anything over 4000 reduces depth perception.

MAXLUX HID Xenon Bulbs D2C (D2S/D2R) 4300K (1 Pair, OEM White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002K6K3MW..._uUspwbP6EFHFP

That's the 4300k light to match oem color temp and keep depth perception. $40 can't beat it.

Yeah you can beat it, for $35 more you can get a genuine pair of bulbs. Having had both "good quality aftermarket" bulbs and genuine Osram/Philips in my headlights, there is a HUGE difference in output

The best bulbs I've seen that are aftermarket are the TRS XB series which are $50/pair, but I still think the OE bulbs have the edge.

Dont cheap out on aftermarket bulbs IMO, yes you may be happy but one of your "amazon maxlux" bulbs next to a genuine Philips/Osram bulb in the same headlight will show a huge difference if you did a comparison.

Well said and so true. Stick to the genuine Phillips/Osram

Would love to comply but no time. I'm still working on a headlight problem.
When the X is started in the A mode the Lights go up and down during initial
start up procedure as they should. When driving they also go to the right
and the back to center when driving as they should..
However they "DONT" auto level as they use to.

I've read a lot about the issue and I'm not sure whats going on so some
further research is required. Till then no night shots.

QSilver, could it not be the headlights OR the auto-level motors on the headlamps, but rather the two "switches" on the front/rear suspension that send signals to auto-level system may need attention?

You do know that there is another member who's name is Qsilver right?
Might be better not to confuse member names…..

To answer your question. I am aware of the possibilities which include
Suspension level sensors. Thanks for the suggestions

I installed a set of Osram Nightbreaker D2S bulbs today.
Big difference in long distance illumination.
Signs that are reflective come into view much sooner.
I had factory original bulbs in there.
12 years old and 92K miles.
Noticeable difference.
I bought from Amazon for 152.00

I got my Osram Night Breaker Unlimiteds from Powerbulbs. Noticeable difference from my old bulbs for sure.

Joshdub 02-25-2016 11:45 AM

I bit the bullet and bought some night breakers. $111 shipped from that power bulb place with a 20% off coupon.
