I was looking at getting everything together for installing the ibus Monday.

When I pulled out the bag that had my fuse shunts in it.....

*FACE PALM*

I already had the perfect wire added to the end of the shunt already :)

I am now 80% done installing the ibus. Had to come in the house to get a cig so posting this.

Keep your fingers crossed. Should be uploading pics and vids of it in action in minutes.

It worked !

Well as far as I can tell. I can see rpm and odometer mileage.

Registering the program now to get the other features working.

Was $12.93 cents in dollars.

Showed 10.55 in euros.

Waiting on email with activation code.

While Im waiting on the code the install was easy.

I used the blue connector that was going to the old nav screen in the dash.

I used wire #6 (white) for the ibus signal and #2 (brown) for ground. I used the fuse tap on fuse #7 in the glove box which shows to be telephone for the positive wire of the ibus interface. This should be key switched. I will double check that when I go back out in a minute.

So the ibus interface has 4 wires. You don't use one of them.

So on the ibus its :

1. Red to switch power source - Went to fuse box #7

2. Brown to ground - Used wire #2 in blue connector of old nav harness which was brown

3. White to ibus - Used wire #6 in blue connector of old nav harness which was white-ish

4. Green isn't used - Its designed for switching the nav screen out for backup camera rigs on unique setups which we aren't using.

Ok that isn't happening fast and they did say on the site it can take up to 24 hours for the code so I'm going to go back out and put the radio back in and clean up.

I will post pics when I get back in so just a few more minutes. I wont be able to show everything since its not registered till the code comes in but it gives a good idea of what it looks like and will show how the install was done.
