The reason is that civilized countries that have 'banned' guns have far more murders by guns and mass shootings than the US. (Sarcasm)

Sounds real dreamy there.
Here in the USA most if not all the thugs have guns.
All the law abiding citizens are defenseless.
Chicago, California, other "no gun zone" places.
Either be a victim, or fight back.
I choose to NOT be a victim.

I love living here, makes me feel like it's the old West again.

Since this forum goes worldwide, it is important to mention that the vast majority of US citizens want stricter gun control laws.

Respectfully, I would wholeheartedly disagree with that statement.

Vast majority of us citizens do not want gun control. Thus the republicans control all branches of government right now.

Democrats are for gun control. The don't control anything right now.

So I think that clearly leans the usa in the non gun control sector at the moment. But that may change at some point. But as of right now the majority is not in favor of gun control.

Crowz 10-08-2017 07:05 PM

Well I need to specify that as not wanting MORE gun control.

I yanked my amp, nav, and everything behind the door. I can store 'a lot' of stuff there.

If it being in the back isn't a problem you could pack an arsenal in that huge space. Heck a small gun safe would fit in there.

Both sides of the gun control issue are emphatic about their position and many times defend their position with inaccurate information. I would be surprised if there was no counter to my post. You can find something out there to defend what anyone wants to be correct.

What is telling is to compare the actual number of murders and mass shootings per X number of people in the countries that have limited or eliminated gun ownership compared to the US.

Blackhawk CQC holster with paddle platform holds it nice below the steering wheel and then when I arrive, I simply remove it and place it on my side. It moves easily from my E46 to my E53. Having it locked in the car does nothing for you if you are not inside the car.

One of the deadliest mass murders in us history was carried out with a single gallon of gasoline. Happy Land night club in the Bronx in 1990. (87 dead)

I'd personally rather carry a hidden pistol than a defensive gallon of gas.

The only way you could even reduce fire arm assault is ether eliminate the firearm or the madman. Neither is possible so we have to only do what we can to reduce the pain inflicted when one of these madmen go off.

"Gun control law" is an oxymoron. Gun control means you can hit the bullseye.

That all said, my opinion is that the ATF under the previous admin watch dropped the ball on the bump stock. It's kinda pointless to argue that they should have outlawed them but if they simply required registration then somebody buying a dozen of them within a year could raise a red flag.

That being said, even in this Vegas case, the mortality rate was less than 10% which seems directly related to the utterly random dispersion and it has been logically argued that had the gunman used an unmodified deer hunting rifle (what ignorant folk like to call an assault rifle apparently because it's black instead of brown) he would have killed many more people.

The gunman believed the myth of "assault rifle" and thought he would be able to kill basically every person he hit from 400-500 yards. This miscalculation saved hundreds of people. I have no doubt had he known how low the mortality rate was he would have taken a different path.

A bolt action 30-06 would have caused more fatalities in 10-11 minutes. You cannot legislate away evil it is stuck with its forever.

Freedom is the opposite of civility we have to trade off some freedoms to stay civilized but I'm ok to trade some civility to still have freedom.
