Humour me for a second, and I'm not trying to be offensive, but what does the "Sig" in SigBoi reference?

Sure, Sig is short for Sig Sauer in my case, one of my favorite firearm manufacturers, until I could afford my first H&K (Heckler & Koch). Now I'm an H&K fan and own three, and selling off my other pistols since they're not as good.

Is there some special meaning over there in Australia?

Nope, I was just wondering if you'd named yourself after a gun.

I could understand on a pistol forum, just struck me as strange on a BMW forum.

All good.

For sure, before I'd use a different username for each forum category, but then I ended up with a bunch, and started to forget them.

A couple other ideas I've found:

This one can go under the seat, or bolted sideways against either side of the footwell at 3.5in depth

EDIT: The above one has bad ratings for security, I'd go with these two choices:
https://www.amazon.com/Stack-QAS-130...k+access++safe
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

This would be awesome to bolted against the center transmission tunnel on its side, nobody would give it a second thought! Not as secure but a nice diversion.

Ahhh, but no good book owner would lay a book spine-down! :D
They need it to open the opposite way.

Thugs don't read books, much less know the etiquette of storing one!

Don't take it personal. No one said anyone here is contributing to the problem. I'm just saying there is a problem and representation of gun owners will not discuss if there is something that gun control laws will do to reduce the problem. Can't fix a problem until it is understood and more importantly---do something.

What study, what statistics are you referencing that has collected the thoughts and actions of the universe of licensed gun owners.
What study show owners with concealed weapons permits are an extremely small percentage of the cause of gun deaths.

Muscle memory takes hundreds of hours to be meaningful and requires constant practice to maintain. Even policeman are far less accurate in real world situations.

Last I knew that 'state' mentioned is a democracy that we vote leadership into office.

The 2nd amendment is centuries old. The framework was built based on the state of the union at that time and the capability of existing weapons. The revolver wasn't even invented until 1836. Very logical to test the premise based on the current society, what other countries have and available weapons.

There is nothing in my comments intended to be demeaning. Saving lives stands on it's own and is directed at the problem not gun owners.

I assume you acknowledge gun related deaths are too high. If not stricter gun control laws, what do you suggest be done?

Perhaps something like this could be used to secure the weapon in the door pocket and then cover it with a small towel so its not visible.

Problem can be fix just like the problem with Hi-jacking pre 911 and post 911. Most people interviewed after 911 stated that they were willing to give up some personal freedom if it meant that they would be safe. Post 911 saw the creation of Homeland Security and the TSA, metal detectors at the airport. Problem will never be fix if we don't acknowledge that there's a problem. Since 911 hi-jacking of airplanes in the USA has been almost non existence.
