Lots of us get that - no idea why. Sometimes it can be fixed, sometimes it's a phantom code. Lots of threads on it - nothing definitive...

Mine is gone right now. Showed up the first time I ever used DIS (never showed up in INPA prior to using DIS). Then it showed up in INPA for a year or so, then it disappeared. :dunno:

Thanks for that. I just finished reading a thread regarding it being a glitch or false positive error. I suppose I'll disregard for now. I don't want to code out the yaw sensor and lose a safety function if it's still doing it's job.

Hi Pal. Can you help with the 4.8is dreaded ehc2 issue? How did you get rid of the code. Im a beginner have no idea about programes/softwares. Local garages or mechanics don't know what to do either. Could you help with a step by step guide?

I moved it forward and backward about 10 feet without issue. Tomorrow I'll take it for a bit of a drive and see what happens.

If this proves to solve the issue I'll be sure to post a DIY on how to properly 100% delete the EHCII system from a 4.8is. *Fingers crossed.*

I will do one but I doubt it will include the software setup (too many variables to do a guide on that), just the programming. Writeup is on the list of things to do but been really busy here with other things. No time frame for you on completion though, sorry.

Other guides for the software setup exist around the net though. This is the one I used.

So how are the rear coils in place? I'm looking at doing this to my X5 which is currently on stock coils all the way around. I see you filled in one of the holes, so do the coil overs mount in place of the old rear dampeners? Thanks for the write up also, helped me make my decision of buying these.

The rears bolt into the 3 holes used by the rear shock mounts on top. They are located under the river boots shown in my pics. And on bottom the coils utilize the stock shock location.

So do you think I would just be able to use the coil top mounts to cover the holes as they do now in the conventional setup, or would there be no way for them to stay fixed in place without some kind of glue or tape?

Yes, I am using them in those pictures to cover the new coilover adjustment and mount. What I used the sound deadening to cover was the holes left from the rear air springs.

Seen here in this pic from X5kiwi.

Oh, okay cool. I see what you're saying. So one side question I have since you talked about sound deadening. In a stock X5, no airbags or tank, where would I be getting a lot of exhaust noise from? The exhaust system has a lot of drone inside the vehicle that becomes quite fatiguing after a while, but I can't quite track down where it is entering the vehicle.

So I am attempting at fully removing the EHC from my 4.6iS which is a slightly different system, but the steps to edit the ZCS to remove s220 should be the same. I started off with only having the no communication with air suspension module after unplugging it from the car. No other module had any errors relating to the EHC. I adjusted my ZCS to remove option 220a and ZCS_SCHREIBEN the EWS and the KMBI. I then default coded each affected module with no errors. ISTA still shows the error for no communication with the air suspension still shows the EHC module in red which is a no communication status. I wonder if ISTA knows that EHC comes standard on all 4.6iS models? Dont mind the other modules in yellow that show errors as this picture was taken as soon as I reconnected my battery.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...799c7c35c9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fc79f1ba18.jpg
