X5 Pictures
Today, I posted pictures and a brief description on "Show us your X5." I am now curious what people think about the price I paid. I know it is water under the bridge, but...

2005 X5 3.0L automatic, average 17-19mpg but don't drive slow, outside the city always minimum 60-70mph, on the highway 80-100mph, 'cause I am always somewhere late :)

My 2001 4.4 says it's averaging 17.8 MPG
|
'05 4.4 - over the last 4000+ miles, the computer calculated average is 20.8 w/ mixed driving. The hwy mpg is about 22 basically driving like a wuss. If I drive short 2 miles trips all over, I get about 15-16.
This is better than my v6 4runner. :p: |

When I reset the MPG, it occasionally reads 70-80mpg for about 5 seconds.... For the those five seconds, I feel amazing.

Most recent fill up: Mixed city/hwy, mostly city. Heavy size 12. 13.8 mpg calculator method. '05 4.8is 50k.

2005 3.0i, calculated 17 mpg (city/hwy), display shows 15.9 mpg.

With my 2004 4.8is, the fuel mileage depends on many things. Being in the mountains of NC, I average 15 - 16 MPG city / highway driving which includes mashing peddle at times. I had a trip to Myrtle Beach by myself; I used back roads adhering to the speed limit plus 5 over and averaged 21 MPG. I recently took my X5 to upstate NY with family of four, one dog and loaded down with luggage, I kept cruise 8 above speed limit except work zones and I got around 18 – 19 MPG. Still in my opinion impressive considering my old cars of a V6 Four Runner and a V8 Sequoia only at best 16 mpg highway.
