Very valid point re flaired arches fitted. In essence it gives the X a wider overall body and therefore larger spacers are required to fill the space to balance it out. Man that X looks cool (simon's).

Looking forward to OP's rear pics, that'll give us all a much better appreciation on how his X is sitting with his new spacers.

I also previously asked for pics of bolt heads as I would like to see/compare replacements with oem as supplied stock. I believe spacer bolts are not black (as oem) and therefore may look a tad odd.
Not a biggy (bolt heads) at the end of the day when you can get your X squatting rather than standing (per se).

I would not ever want to skimp on a product that is so directly related to saftey and could cause a terrible accident if it failed :stickpoke

Yes they cost more... *cough* you drive a bmw *cough*

This whole idea that just because I drive a BMW automatically means I need to spend more should stop now. I hate calling places, asking for parts, etc knowing the second I say BMW that their eyes light up. It's a machine just like anything else. The $200 something dollar Bilsteins I bought aren't valved so much differently than the $40 ones for a Tahoe...it's stupid and I hate paying for anything just because of a name when it all does the same thing.

Here are two new pics. the bolt heads are just flat and silver. nothing fancy.

And to answer the front spacing question... I was going to take a picture showing the spacing to the front fender but it was flush. I think 10mm instead of 5mm would poke just a LITTLE bit if you like that look. And the rears are pretty wide already. you could probably put 25mm instead of 20mm on there since we have such negative camber on the rear anyway. I just stayed on the consevative side since i've gone too far aggressive on other cars and had rubbing issues (not an X5 obviously).

What do you think about the 8mm link I posted? Then 25mm in the rear to have all 4 dead flush. Also how do you keep the fronts centered? I'm not sure if you ever answered.

Yes haha that is me.

and to the previous question. I think that 8mm and 25mm would look very nice. The spacers are centered via the hub. They have machined flanges that slide over the center bore on the hub.

Thanks for the rear pic, looks great with 20mm spacers on.

Sorry to keep buggin ya bro...for the 8mm link I posted, does the center bore hole look like the size we need make sure it centers correctly? I know that ad says BMW, but lots of ads throw names into everything so it hits the keyword search.

Now to find some 25mm's

EDIT - I wrote the seller and asked if these will fit an X5 BMW HUB CENTRIC Wheel Spacer Adapter 25mm Thick 2 Pcs.:eBay Motors (item 390136691007 end time Jan-27-10 16:18:39 PST) I forget what the differences are between the 3, 5, and 7 hubs, but I do remember that the hubs are different diameters.
