Your too quick man...I edited my post. I found some on H&R/Eibachs on ebay, but nothing below like $150. I still don't see how these things could fail, so I'm trying to find the best price instead of brand names. Since both the 8mm and 25mm links I posted are bolt through, these really doesn't look room for failure if they're just sandwiched between the rotor and the wheel.

Something scares me about the ones I've seen that bolt are countersunk, bolted to the hub, then the wheels are bolted to the spacer. I fear that where it's countersunk would be weaker and a potential point for it to shear as opposed to simply bolting completely through the spacers. Just my .02.

That is where name brand comes into play for me personally. I would put the counter sunk H&R's or Eibach's on and not think twice about them failing. They both have good reputations to uphold. Now, I can't say the same for some no-name, e-bay brand.

But the no-name ebay brand aren't countersunk, they're just simply bolt through w/ longer bolts. I understand some might worry about using longer bolts, but after seeing how long the bolts we're on an F350 dually, I have absolutely nothing to worry about. I understand about reputations, but it doesn't happen overnight. I know I sound like a broken record, but I don't see how they could fail if it's nothing more than a machine chunk of metal being sandwiched.

Hey sorry I didn't see your post last night. I don't know what the center hub size is on the E53. I just got the ones on the ECS site and they said they would fit and they did. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Its totally up to you on the name brand vs noname. I've had both in the past and I just never got larger than 5mm in no name brand. I don't really have a good reason why. Something about even the idea of a spacer failing scares me. Just personal preference. I think my whole set with bolts came out to right about $200

In theory, you're absolutely right. But it's not as simple as that in reality. For example, can you be sure that the material is really what was advertised and is of good quality in a no-name brand? Have they done enough stress tests to make sure that the expanding and contracting of the materials over heating/cooling cycles doesn't cause stress fractures on the spacer? I don't know about you, but I don't want a 25mm chunk of metal cracking, then falling off leaving your wheels flopping around while doing 75mph down the freeway.

It looks like H&R is the only one that's claiming to be TUV approved (ECS doesn't have this certification), and if that's only $20 bucks or so extra for the certification, I would be glad to pay the premium for the added peace of mind.

Touche. Since the ECS stuff isn't TUV certified, I doubt the ebay stuff is either.
