just installed an alpine stereo since the X seems to keep destroying mine. install was easy(in my opinion) and the sound quality is a lot better then the last stereos i had. I just hate how ugly it looks in my dash and the fact that it's illuminated with blue lets when the rest of the car is either red or amber

Oil change (let it drip for about 4 hours after a long drive). The temperature outside has been well over 100F today! Working in and under the engine was not fun. Replaced the cabin and engine air filters as well.
I used all Original BMW parts, including oil, and ended up costing me about $94. I imagine dealership costs would run around $300 for parts and labor. Feel so much better now.

1st.....where is the cabin air filters?...i have 06 ....i only see the filter below the wiper...am i missing something?>

Today......car wash..X5,X6...waxed,glossed tires cleaned interior courtesy of meguiars.
-got tires balanced.....and Alignment.....

Question...i have 25mm spacers...the alignments wasnt fullly straight on..due to spacers...so we got it as close as possible to center...10 degrees on each side (Rear)....this is right guys right?...for all have spacers 25mm.....

What did I do over the recent times?

1. 4 new Conti tyres all-round, the best there is.
2. professional cleaning, as dust was everywhere
3. replace the standard steering wheel by a MFL multifunction steering wheel
This gave me cruise control and audio control for free!
4. replaced the standard charcoal black strips by wood (also the console)
5. replaced the dull and mechanical black interior by a creme fully electrical interior
(seats and door cards)
6. cleaned the full leather interior and treated the leather
7. connected up the rear seat heating (only needed switches and the *700 relay)
8. installed Grom Bluetooth/Ipod connectivity to the 16:9 10 speaker system

Upcoming:

Full Siemens Bit2 installation, I am assembling the required parts right now from e**y.

Today I listed it for sale on Autotrader, Craigslist, and eBay. Sadly enough I prefer to drive my 200k mile Jeep over the X5.

On Saturday I installed the BMW trailer hitch. It went pretty smoothly thanks to the great write-up in the "How-To's" section.


Next week I'm picking up a motorcycle carrier so I can haul my dirt bike out to the trails! :D

Wash and wax, installed 10w angel eye LEDs

Gave it another $85 worth of go juice. Drive on.

@Delviacv2..got any pics of th that 10w led.....is it 10w each?....10w total?...or 5w each side.


did put $90 of sweet gas ready for work tmrow.
