Got a new battery today! Old took a crap with the trans fail safe, 4 x 4, brake and ABS lights on. Shut her down, tried to restart and it was done!

Yes, they come on when I unlock or lock the car. And they fade on and off too.

Don't have any pics of install. :( Really easy though. Lights were screwed in to underside, wire was ran in between the seam of the bottom trim up to rear doors and run and tapped into door lights. Whole task was done in less than 30 minutes. I also have LED strip lights under each door as well also.

Ordered a new air filter, cabin air filter and spark plugs.

Reset the adaptive throttle this morning.

Key on for 30 seconds, key off, then start engine? what is the procedure for this?

Turn the key to position 2. Press and hold the accelerator all the way to the floor for 30 seconds. Key off. Start engine and drive off (and I've read it should be forward not reverse).

------

I just saw this in another thread though...

There are (at least) two different resets.

The 25 second reset (holding the throttle pedal down until the transmission beeps, ensuring that the engine is not running at the time) is to reset the transmission shifts, which learn your driving habits over time.

The 10 second reset (turning the ignition on, then off, 10 seconds each, then starting the engine) is to reset the adaptive throttle, which adapts to how aggressively you press the throttle.

I reset it the other week and it seemed like the shifts were a little harder during my "normal"/slow driving... I was driving the X pretty hard a lot after I reset it the first time so I'm thinking maybe because it was used to shifting with my more spirited driving that it was shifting the same way when I was driving slow too? :dunno:

It was much smoother today though.
