Turn the key to position 2. Press and hold the accelerator all the way to the floor for 30 seconds. Key off. Start engine and drive off (and I've read it should be forward not reverse).

I just saw this in another thread though...
There are (at least) two different resets.
The 25 second reset (holding the throttle pedal down until the transmission beeps, ensuring that the engine is not running at the time) is to reset the transmission shifts, which learn your driving habits over time.
The 10 second reset (turning the ignition on, then off, 10 seconds each, then starting the engine) is to reset the adaptive throttle, which adapts to how aggressively you press the throttle.
I reset it the other week and it seemed like the shifts were a little harder during my "normal"/slow driving... I was driving the X pretty hard a lot after I reset it the first time so I'm thinking maybe because it was used to shifting with my more spirited driving that it was shifting the same way when I was driving slow too? :dunno:
It was much smoother today though.
