Last week the X5 and I might have been airborne for a brief moment. :whistle:

Compression, piston height, and leakdown tests tell me that exhaust valves on cylinders 5 & 6 aren't happy with the overrev. Guess it's time to pay VAC Motorsports a few bucks.

I got her some new shoes.

Oil leak not coming from valve cover gasket as we thought but a small crack on cylinder head cover (11121432928)so as me. and indy waited for part to be delivered I had him lift the x5 to look underneath and check suspension,that's when we found RMFD output shaft leaking driver side also left,right ball joints causing squeaking sound in rear, rubber mounting F pull rod and left,right front wishbones so that's what is being done today,waiting to drive it out of here.:D

Went to work in it! My son usually drives it to school but since schools out, I got to do some easy highway miles. Just turned 99K miles, too.

Forced upgrade time. Ordered:

VAC Motorsports M62 Stage 1 heads (w/ inconel exhaust valves)
VAC Motorsports M62 Oil pump upgrade kit
VAC Motorsports/ARP Head Stud kit

Time to yank my heads and send them up north.

R/R parking brake shoes today. Suprisingly only took about 45 minutes

NICE. VAC is world class, I toured the shop with the owner back in April, they have some awesome toys for BMWs.

I'm from nearby Franklin originally - I go to VB to eat here and again, One Fish Two Fish, Aldo's, Isle of Capri etc.

I need to do this bad....
