Totally forgot that they are the same. Gotta swap them around.

I recently leaned that vcg leak can cause a fuel trim error in one bank so look into that (maybe smoke test?) Should the error stay on the same side.

I got new valve cover and gasket. I've done many smoke tests and have not found a leak anymore. Guess I gotta try once more if lambda isn't the culprit.

How much pressure can your smoke tester generate? Vacuum idle can be pretty ferocious. Also; some engines will suck tons of oil of the egr or equivalent and that could be related just causing your mix not actually sucking oil.

Not sure for exact pressure but feels a good amount. But smoke will usually find all the smallest possible holes or leaks. EGR? Not in M54... PCV system is renewed also. Will try the smoke again if lambda isn't the issue to see if something new has come up.

It wasn't lambda issue. Both banks are lean. Multicaptive is 12 and more speed you drive more integrators are on + side. While cruising 50+ mph integrators goes way over ten. And just noticed that car feels kinda slow when hitting gas 40+ mph speeds. Starting to think if the fuel pump is weak. Too bad I don't have fuel pressurse meter... New fuel pump is cheap, so not worth to buy pressure meter.:rofl:

FPR will hide a weak pump for ages. Lean higher revs does suggest low fuel pressure. Rent a gauge.

The problem is you don't know if it's pump or FPR until you measure.

Finally got around to replacing the radiator... And then I realized that it was idiotic not to do the oil filter housing gasket while I was there.

As a side note, who the hell replaces everything BUT the radiator? The PO did the expansion tank, hoses, pump, thermostat, fan/fan clutch a few years ago, but left the original radiator. I'd understand doing one or two items only on a budget, but everything OTHER than the radiator? Weird.

Might as well do the power steering hose replacement!

My original radiator was going strong at 20 ¹/₂ years and 205,000 miles (330k km). I wouldn't preemptively replace one with no issues either. (though my new to me e70 is fairly flattened (fins) and that's a lot of manual labor to straighten out I may replace it).
