He had my X5 for 3 months and basically did nothing and now says he will fix it for $5600. Guess its time to find a lawyer. Otherwise I think I will put a wrench through his face. Sigh.....

Not suprising. BMW will usually not warranty repair a 10yr old vehicle unless you're 1st owner, purchased several new BMWs and dealer has done ALL repair/maintainence on vehicle in question.

Bought 2 valve stems from HRE. I only need one but I want one for spare just in case. They're 7yrs old already.
They won't be here until sometime next week, so the X sees some limited driving until then.

DM-100 saves the day!

While driving home from work, I got a low coolant message on the cluster. Changed the DM-100 display from the needle to a digital display of temp, kicked the heater on full blast, and continued my drive home monitoring the temp.

Seems like one of the hoses coming off the rear water manifold needs replacing. No biggie. They're the only ones left to do.

I could never have relied on the OEM gauge to get me home.

Fixed my broken door latch. Stupid plastic parts. Also replaced the broken window clip and did the rubber glove mod to the door handle carrier cable. Getting inside that door has become far too easy.

KyleNatolix5, why your pictures are up-side-down?

2 Attachment(s)
Installed BrakeLabs Drilled/Slotted rotors w/CoolCarbon pads. Refinished pad carriers and calipers with silver ceramic brake system finish. Before and after....2 burnishing cycles with overnight cooldown between them, to get a good transfer layer of pad material on the rotors.
