just drove it - waiting for the next part to beak (I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that it will be the drivers window regulator).

Disassembled and reassembled drivers power fold mirror. Replaced internal the gear case and 2 of the 3 gears inside it.

Results are mixed. It folds and doesn't wiggle anymore but the gears inside unit are grinding so I don't think it will last.

EBay seller from Turkey has the gears and motor case if anyone else is interested.

Tomorrow it's into the drivers door handle carrier that broke yesterday right after the mirror motor parts arrived.

Installed E46 M3 steering wheel. Like the look and feel of it.

What are those three "lights"? LEDs? next to your main light switch?

I went to Wal-Mart...

and I thought, what the heck, lets change me some oil...

last change was at Jiffy Lube at 99406 miles in October, so 7,000 miles later I think it was a time to change it again... the JF was too much at $37.99, and the WM sounded right at $21.14

Well... I would need to factor into the cost the price of the OE filter at $16.12... and 8 liters (actually, 8.1L) of 5W40 fully synthetic Liqui-Moly (I know engine takes 8.5 liters/9 quarts, but I deliberately provide the mechanics with a bit less oil to stay on the safe side, and then top off in a day or two after driving) at $145 for 20 liters... so 8 liters cost me about $55-60...

total
$21.14
$16.12
$56.00
--------
$93.36

Going to be the first and hopefully only zombie hunter X5 E53. Il be making a thread with pics and a timeline soon.:D
