At the time 158k. I've already done the pulleys once before around 130 or so. Tstat failed right when I replaced it preventively.

Did the drivers side inner and out CV boots today. The forum documentation was a huge help, started to try to remove the outer CV from the shaft but no success so I pulled the shaft and did the inner and outer.

Thankfully I had bought both on he advice of the DiY's! The whole chore took about 3 hours

Ordered the parts to build a wireless charger for my new note 8 cellphone.

This will allow me to charge the phone by putting it in the lower center console storage area in a slide in clip.

Pulled belt tensioner off in anticipation of the new one arriving and noticed the water pump has a tiny amount of play... Ordered new water pump.

Installed a new set of 2.5 inch midrange speakers in the rear door of the X5. Man what a difference.

Another 8000 miles, so it was time for an oil change along with a new FSR (the old one lasted 171,000 miles - not bad), rear diff service and fuel injector cleaning service. I'd never had the injector service done - skeptical about it since I use Shell gasoline exclusively, but was very impressed with the smoother idle and improved acceleration afterwards. All in all I got out of the dealership for less than two normal car payments ;)

2014 428i 30,000 miles

Since this is a recent purchased vehicle with 135K. This car is getting a standard maintenance refresh.
-just ordered front & Rear OEM Brake kit from ECS.Also upgrading to ECS SS braided line
kit.
- Suspension refresh kit researching between OEM, Lemforder or Meyle HD.
I am leaning towards Lemforder but would love to hear any pros and cons. thanks

A lot of the time Lem is OEM. I have no issues using Lem or Meyle HD stuff. I have done all 3 of my BMW's(Z4,M3,X5 complete suspension rebuilds) with a bit of mix of them. The quality on these brands are so close it really doesnt matter. Nice thing about FCP is a lifetime war and they list also who is the OEM most of the time
