It's a 2013. Melbourne red. It's loaded. Have already secured the exhaust flaps open and added lower restriction air filters. Deciding on a tune and depending on the result might add meth. It's my wife's daily driver so can't go crazy. She loves it. She got stopped for speeding already, no ticket just warning.

Did you guys use lowering springs or go coilover. I heard lowering springs aren’t great for your shocks. Thoughts?

Have had the H&R lowering springs in place for more than 5 years. No problem.

That red... reminds me of the cinnabar red of the E30 in the late 80s.

Cross section of my flare with new iso bubble flare tool vs factory. Pretty darn close. The tool was $23 from Amazon but it needed some significant help to make the tool usable. I made a video.

It's pretty bad that I see a lot of "just use a double flare" or "cut out the rust and use a compression fitting". The entire pipe was made of rust. Time to replace!

I'm hoping I'll be able to clean and paint wife's brake lines so I can avoid re fabricating hers. Darn I just remembered I need to buy 20 or so single use rivets to put my trim and wheel well back on.

Somehow I forgot to mention that it was a hundred fifty bucks to buy the official brake lines from Amazon but it was only $37 for the parts and $22-23 for the tool. $60 total. You still have to bend the pipe either way. Cheap HF bender did a fine job. The is a special pliers for bending the tight radius . I might get that to do the left rear brake line there are a couple of bands that are really tight
