If these things were ~$600 like the millions you see on a google search, I'd be interested but $800-$900 is too rich for my blood :(

I think the $600 units are the Hualingan units, see a bunch of them on eBay. I've considered them as well as they initially seemed very similar in software interface initially. The Hualingan units are definitely cheaper than the Dynavin ($600 vs $850). Just be careful with those units. From my research, they seem to have quality issues. I think a few of the members on here as gone through some bad lots and are even considering (or have) switching them out for Dynavin units. The Dynavin seems to be more legitimate with local distributors worldwide, and they seem to continue to improve their product. IMO

the new d99 units come in windows ce based or android anyone have the windows screen shots? just curious how it looks and if it has similar functions as the android system? My oem business cd has finally lost 70% of the pixels so i can hardly see anything. If any time is good for an upgrade now is the best. These come with 1yr warranty right like most electronic appliances...

Well guys, looks like it's a no go for the group buy with J&T

So he's not interested in a large sum of money all at once...to each their own. I'm selling my AVIC F90BT seattle.craigslist.org/sno/ele/2886653659.html and seeing that we can buy the universal version of the D99 on eBay for around $650 DEAL OF THE DAY ANDROID D99 INTERNET Dynavin UNIVERSAL 2 DIN DVD GPS NAVI RADIO | eBay (ignore this particular ad, its the same seller but im not seeing it for the same $600ish range now, but it will again), and I've already got a bezel.

I'm guessing the main perks of the BMW dedicated version is it already comes fully bezeled (w/ the same viweing angle I hate on my current deck) and the OBC functions (which I've already been w/ for over a year since I relocated it to the glovebox) built-in.

Guys, if you have any questions about dynavin unit or want to see more pictures, let me know.

Also if anyone interested in Hyalingan unit with farka cable dtv Tv option let me know. Unit is in perfect condition and comes with iGo primo full wersion Navigation maps. Unit was opened before to add antiglare screen so warranty is voided but i dont think its possible to get warranty work on these anyway...

This is for cars with oem navigation.

I take care of my vehicles, but it's still nice to have a little warning when unexpected things happen. The last thing you need when coming back from the bar is to get pulled over for a tail light bulb ;)

I can still see that messages on the instrument cluster...

One more question. I think you already answered it, was yours originally Nav? And if not, would it be necessary to add a GPS antenna or since you're tethering it to a phone, does it pull the GPS info from there? I know there is some modification for it to fit into a non Nav dash, just curious if I'd have to run an antenna as well...
