With Dynavin you have 2 options:

1- use google maps with tethering to your phone, it works but sometimes it is slow and not really reliable. For this you dont need navigation antenna.
2- best option, install offline navigation software like igo,sygic( the best) and use it as regular navigation, like oem navigation. Fot this you need to install a navigation antenna.

I sent another inquiry to Um•nitza inc to see if they'd be willing to offer a group buy discount. Will update if I hear anything back from them.

Only thing is that they're not listed as a distributor on the Dynavin website, so not sure if that has any bearing on warranty claims. I'll follow up with that if they respond.

Well, heard back from them and it's pretty much negligible. Basically just free shipping for up to 5 orders, and additional $15 off for up to 10 orders.

But the biggest problem for me is that they only have the Windows CE version in stock even though they offer the Android version on their website.

I'm just gonna wait for J&T to get their stock.

Fyi, J&T have their stock of E39 D99 units, both Windows CE and Android, in stock now. Just placed my order for the Android unit.

From what I found, the Android unit only comes with Google maps pre-loaded as the nav software, any other software for offline use will require purchase from the android market place.

Yeah, just spent a boatload today putting in the orders for all the audio pieces I need. Since my X5 came with 16:9 nav + DSP, it's not quite plug and play for me. Had to purchase a 5 channel amp, RCA cables, and crossovers to set it up properly. As soon as everything comes in, I'll be spending a weekend taking the OE nav and DSP units out and installing everything in. Got the whole install planned out based on all the research I've been doing, but will probably take me a good day (maybe 2) to get everything installed. Could probably do a write up, but then there's already so many info on the different X5 forums already.

Only thing I'm still iffy about is the install of the rear view camera. Will probably just run the composite video wire from the Dynavin to the back first and take my time on the camera installation on the rear hatch.

Will definitely post some pictures once I have things installed.

I was debating between the Windows CE and the Android version as well. Decided to just spend the extra $50 to get the Android once I found out that you can just get offline nav software that would be the same as the Windows CE. And the Android version will be more versatile in the long run. That was my thinking.

I just installed the Dynavin E39A, but I'm having issues with it not sitting too flush in there. in fact, it kind of moves up and down if bumpy road. I had to cut around the dash with a dremel to fit it in, and I know I didn't cut it too far up. Have you found a way to make it snug and not move? I'm out of ideas.:dunno:

Hey PHILLY X5 anymore pics of the screens on the unit. Would like to see the user interface. Also is it safe to say anyone might as well opt out for the android unit since its basically the same as the windows with the exception of the Internet. I read you indicated you can also use your offline navigation with the antenna
