where is this blower motor relay? I'm assuming that a mech did it for you. Do you have a part # for it so I can search it by chance?

maybe a plug just came loose on the blower motor ,but I don`t know how hard or easy it is to get to it.

The same thing happen to me but I only had my 03 for three days. I checked my fuses they where fine. I replaced the blower fan resistor and that took care of it. Found a video on YouTube how t replace it. However after looking at the video and doing the job I don't think you need to remove the clove box. I got the part at napa for $69.

Meinhold, i replaced my fsr with a new one tonight but that didnot solve my problem

OK, when I first noticed the front fans stopped working, but the display stays on and can move about, I tried the rear seat heater and while it did blow, it was ambient temp air at best. I've not tested the rear since the first day the blower stopped.
Now I replaced my FSR tonight wit a factory valeo part and no blower fan still and now the rear fan is not working either now.
I can still hear the vents opening/closing as I play with those buttons so I know there is some life in my HVAC controls, but I'm baffled as to why the blower stopped. Can I test the blower motor somehow without ripping the dash apart?
damn, I think I need a trip to the indie :( how many hundreds now?

So according to my mech, he showed me how even though I replaced the FSR on my X, it was not the problem. He hooked up his computer and showed me how if you adjust the speed of the fans, the power changes on the computer screen he had hooked up to the OBD II and therefore ruled out anything but the blower motor finally blew. SHITTY as ithe part is so cheap compared to the install charges.
So anything thing else I should change out while my entire dash is apart? Heater core? o-rings... other parts?

I think

Morning All, I think mine is more than the FSR as the blower motor started making noise in late summer. This morning it stopped working all together. Is the blower motor itself difficult to change? Does anyone have a link to a DIY to change it?

Thanks.

the blower motor is not hard to change out, just very time consuming. my mechs said its about an 8-10 hour job to remove entire dash/steering wheel.... to access the blower. I did this on my 850 last year in summer but I did not have a place/opportunity to do it myself a month or so ago, so I Was at the mercy of a mech and just paid the bill. Such is life.
Fan works perfect now :)

Thanks for the response, with the squirrel cage making noises, I would assume it would be the motor, is that a safe assumption?
