Have you ever gone to cars and coffee? I go every month that I can and park in the German car area. X is not swamped like some of the rare exotics but gets a fair amount of attention because of the age and condition--interested?

No doubt. When is the next car and coffee?

Should try a get together here............http://dallaskartingcomplex.com/abou...arting-complex

Big fun, 70 mph karts on a .8 mile track. Yet to rent the 85 mph kart.

hahaha, now i can claim that i could not get through!!! NOT!!! :nanana:

I received an invite too, mentioned it to the Ex-wife and was informed I was already too heavily invested in Vipers and ZR1s. Might be why I now refer to her as Ex!:bustingup

Next event will be September 7th.

Obviously they have coffee. They also have food. Classic moves all their cars from the lot toward the tollway and it is always filled to the gills and turning cars away.

I try to be there around 6:30. By 7:00 most months, if there any spaces in the German car area, certainly near me, they will be in the isle where there are bozos, baby carriages, brats and bow wows, walking to close for comfort. If you haven't been there you will want to walk around. I can watch your X while you do. There are always a line of Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, BMWs though they don't seem to get there earlybirds enough to park together other than several M3s that attend some months. You see examples of most anything you can think of--including a few vipers. We will be the only two X5s there.

Entry is from the access road just north of Springcreek road.

I usually stay until around 9:30 when I can get out without having an anxiety attack.

Huge crowd of enthusiasts and whoever they drag along.

Friscos finest rove the area, some marked some not.

You mention Classic, is it at Classic BMW in Plano? That's about 10 min from my house in Coppell.

She had to have the biggest house in the area we lived in FL (6 Br, 5 Bh, 5200 sq ft living space and 4 car garage). Custom built it at the height of the market and took a beating getting rid of it during the divorce! Too much house for 4 people. Would rather have a garage full of nice rides.

Didn't know the complex existed. Sounds like quite the place. Only karts I have been in were just slightly faster than carnival bumper cars and they kept cutting my engine for ramming. Are you a regular or have fast kart experience?

I've unlocked the Sodi 250 karts (70 mph) by lapping in under 72 secs in the 60 mph karts. The Sodi 250 is a monster, and I would bet the 85 mph karts would scare the crap out of me. The 70 mph karts feel like 100 mph with your butt 1" off the ground and nothing around you.

Yes, Classic BMW, 6800 Dallas Parkway, Plano. About 30 minutes from me. They are open Saturdays. A while back they had a new M6 convertible that you might want to take home.
