I really really need to replace my oil filter housing gasket. I've had the gasket since late Fall.

change out battery, possibly rear ball joints, might wait on the ccv kit now since oem has faulty units around, may wait till thats sorted out.

add another one to my list... Last night my driver's side rear suspension developed a creaking noise over every crack or bump in the road.

I was just under there with a prybar and can't find a loose bushing or subframe mount. I'm stumped.

I would think a shot of Tri-Flo or other lube on every bushing would correct the issue.

puddinboo 02-23-2014 08:04 PM

what about the rear ball joints those ive heard can cause noises if there worn

Thank goodness I did not order the 4 door seals I was planning to change. 2 have a small tear - I was going to do all 4. That cosmetic money went into mechanicals.,.

My spring list of to-dos came early. Started having trans issues, so between diag and stuff...in the past 2 weeks

New rebuild on all 4 corners of BBK - new rotors/pads
Rear CV boot
New Wiring Harness for Trans (covered under trans rebuil warranty)
Vent Valve
Oil Pan Gasket
Front 02 Sensors
Valley Pan Job = VCG, plugs, gaskets on crosspipe, rear cover, heater hose, etc, etc.

Got the rear half of the exhaust done today. Seems way too quiet vs. all the vids of straight piped X's! So am going to get one of those Magnaflow X-pipes put in eventually. Hopefully that will do it perfectly and still pass inspection.

I'd definitely be looking at the rear balljoints. Very common issue for causing creaks and you won't find any play due to them until you press them out.
