Is there a comprehensive thread on all these coders/programmers/readers on here? I've seen references to so many different ones and am going to need to pick one up soon. I used to use an Autologic at the shop I worked at... but I don't have $5000 sitting around (or the work) to justify that kind of purchase lol.

I keep reading references to one from estonia (or some other euro locale), INPA, DISS, and now this one... going to need one when I do my Avin install and also when I do my valve seals... thanks for any info.

The tool i am talking about is supplementary to the ncsexpert, it just makes it easier to change the activ/nicht_activ lines, nothing else. The ncs is the one doing programming..

Just curious about mine since I have it on order. You can control the OEM DSP Equalizer settings via the Equalizer provided in the dynavin right?

Is the NCSEXPERT/INPA package I can get off Ebay compatible across the board? Pre-facelift/facelift?

it will program all iBus cars, including Rover and some Range rovers and i think SAAbs and some others... but older modules will not have certain lines of coding that the newer modules would have - i had a 2002 4.6 that i tried to program the fog lights to stay on with the high beams, and the LCM on that year/month did not allow for that option. the LCM on the 2006 4.8 took that coding line with no problems...

I have cables (OBD & Pacman) from an Ebay carsoft purchase... would these be compatible with NCSexpert?

Jungerishere 12-11-2014 09:20 AM

If it is serial connection, then definitely no.

Thanks... I believe they are. Haven't used them in quite awhile. Looks like I'll be ordering one of the ones Terminator posted.

Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit from Dynavin... but since some coding might be involved during install maybe it's not totally irrelevant.

Sooooo update four8, is the Dynavin an excellent purchase still?

I'm interested into how well the built in maps work as I'm really sick of using my phone for GPS, I like the live map on my screen at eye level.
