How about PDC integration? Done it yet? Any idea what it would look like on the screen?

Unfortunately I didn't get to it yet; been really busy for the past 2 weeks...I really am curious too if and how it's going to work and look.
After the brake job which is long due (planning to do it next week sometime) , I should find a day to play some more with the wires; in the meantime I hope Doru gets his and does the install so you guys can have more info on the same product from different persons.

Installed my N6, works right out of the box, plug & play.
The rear camera cables are also routed to the back - but this took me quite a bit. I will probably install the rear camera this weekend.
Four.8is, I will PM you for the radio patch. I noticed some slight drop-outs of the radio stations.

Better than the Hualigan I have on my e39 (Haven't had any issues with it since the 1st day I had it).
It's a newer model, faster, looks better. Has also more features (which I probably won't use frequent). So far, on the old model day-to-day use is mostly radio, bluetooth & nav. The Dynavin will use probably the same functions, plus the rear camera (pending install - it took me a while to pull all the wires neatly in the back of the car).
The autodimming feature set on the light sensor, is quite something....I haven't had time to explore everything this unit is doing, but concerning bluetooth it picks up all my contacts, no problem. There is no sense reviewing the unit - lots of posts on that, and they are pretty much spot on. Gives a nice updated look inside the cabin, that's for sure.

Hey Doru,

What kind of rear backup camera are you using? Does it perfectly fit or do you have to mod it to fit and where is the location you installed it. Also if you can post the directions that you routed your cables from back to the front.

I think it will fit like the OE lic plate light. I haven't installed it yet - it is on Jeff's Dynavin page, haven't had time to install it yet and in my hands it looks like the OE dimensions.
Concerning the wires, they are pulled to the trunk.
In my case, they go from the dash inside the middle console (remove the carpet paneling from the gas pedal to the middle of the console and fish it.
Remove the driver seat. remove the door sills driver side front & rear. Remove the "B" pillar cover. Fish the wire where the carpet splits under the driver seat. Fish the cable under both door sills. replace the sills pillar cover and seat. Remove the rear seat. Remove the 2 plastic tool panels in the rear hatch. Fish the wire under the rear seat and in the rear hatch under the driver side carpeted panel. This is where I stopped. The wires are resting where the amp is.
here I need to make a connection around the battery where the rear signal is, and a connection to the ground for the rear camera wire.
Then it will go in the "D" pillar up through the wire loom snorkel and into the rear hatch door to the camera & lic plate light.

This is the camera, copied form Jandtdistributors (Jeff's Dyanvin page, hope he doesn't mind)

Doru, do you have DSP audio? Have you integrated PDC to the unit?

four.8is 10-06-2014 09:51 PM

Dorin also wondering did you relocate the MID? Or is it disconnected completely (I.E. what would you lose anyway)
