Tiag send me a link of that in PM. I must have missed it in the news, IL was a no issue state for as long as I can remember. NJ is a may issue state still but might as well be no issue since no one gets granted a CCW
|
My neighbor is a lawyer here in TX, handles gun related cases.
Just talked to him and he gave me the statute #, 430 ILCS 66/10, passed in May 2013, ammended in Dec 2013. He says New Jersey is still a "may issue" state, statute #, S2C:58-4, N.J.A.C. 13:54-2.1 |

The weekly shooting report is reported as nonchalantly as the weather for tomorrow. |
RB, you may want to do what I had to do in the late '80s.
Had a GF whose dad owned limo company, had towing contracts on major NY hwys, and several service stations. He knew high ranking police officers and used them as references on my CC application, also claimed I carried large sums of cash for deposit from his businesses. My application was approved in under 1 week. Legally carried a Beretta 92FS 9mm for over 5 yrs in NY. Legally pulled twice to prevent robbery, multiple perps each time, never fire a round, they RAN! |
Yeah, the Illinois CC law is screwy, only valid county by county.
If you don't get a CC in Cook County, you can't carry in Chicago. |

Gangbangers will start confronting responsible CC citizens and see handguns pulled/fired in self defense. It'll take a few dead gangbangers for the message to sink in. EVERY state thats gone from "may issue" to "shall issue" CC laws has seen a HUGE drop in robbery, carjack, rape and home invasion/B&E stats. I wonder why! When intended victims are confronted by a criminal, seconds count, and the police are a phone and minutes away! |

And this is why I intend to move to a shall issue state such as the Free Republic of Texas. Thanks for the tips Tiag but I dont have enough pull nor do I want to deal with the red tape in Jersey, even in the 1 in a million chance I could pull it off its way too much hassle in a state with this little regard for 2nd amendment rights. Anyways back on topic... |
